The Project Experts Speak about Modern Models of Hospital Care Organization in the Live Program “Vashe Zdorovya (Your Health)”

On the 15th of April 2009, the Team Leader, Ms. Oxana Abovskaya, the international Project expert in institutional development and managerial staff training, Mr. Luca Brusati, and the national health policy&legal coordinator, Dr. Volodymyr Rudiy, took part in the  live program “Vashe Zdorovya (Your Health)” of Zhytomyr OTRC.

The program “Vashe Zdorovya (Your Health)” of Zhytomyr OTRC is the media partner of the Project “Support to Secondary Health Care Reform in Ukraine”, and it has been highlighting different aspects of Ukrainian health care system reform for a long time already. The mentioned live airing was organized within the framework of cooperation between the program “Vashe Zdorovya (Your Health)” and the Project and aimed at the continuation of the discussion of the Project’s recommendations regarding the improvement of health care provision in Ukraine.

The discussion was based on questions, received by the editorial office of the program after the airing of “Vashe Zdorovya (Your Health)” program of 27.01.2009, in which also participated the Project experts and in which was discussed the optimization of the health care facilities network on the territory of Zhytomyr oblast. As such, the Project experts gave detailed explanation of the possibilities to improve the access of population to quality medical services, as well as spoke about the attitude of the medical professionals themselves to the ideas of the Project, about the introduction of European models of hospital care organization in Ukraine, about the ensuring of illnesses prevention and about the issue of payment for medical services.
