Project discusses it's results with Head of Zhytomyr Oblast Council.

The meeting there was discussion of project outputs in Zhytomyr Oblast (one of the pilot regions for the project) and perspectives for further implementation of the Project recommendations on the reorganisation of the local healthcare facility network. Overcoming obstacles to implementing the models developed by the Project were also discussed.

The activities of the EU Project “Support to secondary healthcare reform in Ukraine” during its two years work in Zhytomyr Oblast were aimed at support to the reallocation of specific healthcare services across the oblast within the framework of the General Plan for Zhytomyr Oblast on healthcare facilities network and reconfiguration of services.
The Concept on restructuring the healthcare system of Zhytomyr Oblast proposed by the Project defines priority and urgent measures on raising quality and access to healthcare services for population by place of residence: implementation of evidence-based guarantees for free-of-charge healthcare services; development of an efficient patient-oriented and result-oriented financial model for the sector; improvement of the healthcare management system; enhancement of the healthcare facility system; improvement of their material and technical infrastructure
