Journalists’ briefing “Hospitals’ role for qualified specialized healthcare services”.

On 15 September 2009, the second briefing “Hospitals’ role for qualified specialized healthcare services” was held by the Project  in line with the national journalistic contest “Changes in you may change the world”. It was aimed at covering issues, dealing with further development of healthcare system in Ukraine.

Ms. Abovskaya Oxana, Project team leader reported on the current trends of Ukrainian and international healthcare development. Mr. Oleksiy Gavva, chief-doctor of communal non-profit enterprise “Zolochiv Rayon Hospital” and Mrs. Larisa Polikova, chief-doctor of communal non-profit enterprise “Blyzniuky Rayon Hospital” talked about experience of health care reform in Zolochiv and Blyzniuky rayons, as well as about advantages of reforming for medical workers and general public.

Then discussion developed around role of family doctor in modern system of health care provision, development of family medicine in rural and urban areas.

The contest for Ukrainian journalists “Changes in you may change the world” started on 30 July 2009, which was announced during a press-conference at UNIAN on  informational agency and shall be held from until 30 November 2009.
